It's time for a new planner review! I just got a new planner from Forever New and I thought I'd share my opinion on it.
It's the Matilda Medium size 2016 Diary, with a beautiful floral print in pink and lilac. It's gorgeous! I've seen some pictures online and loved the looks of it, so I had to find it!
It's a faux leather planner, in a personal size. It feels sturdy, yet it's not bulky and the exterior has canvas texture. The silver tone rings are strong and on the smaller size, measuring just around one inch in diameter.
Inside, it's a beautiful nude color, with a very slight golden sheen, almost invisible but creates a really nice effect. It comes with six credit card slots and one larger secretarial pocket behind, while the back is plain. I really like the magnetic closure but would prefer if they left the little golden brand tag out of the front - not a major thing, but I'd prefer a plain front. There's also one pen holder that works perfectly!
The inserts are divided in calendar, contacts, birthdays and "things to do", each divider with a laminated tab, and several alphabetic dividers for the contacts section.
The calendar inserts are for the 12 months in 2016, starting on Christmas 2015, and they come in a horizontal layout. Throughout the planner you'll find random cute little quotes - I don't know if I'll use the calendar inserts or not, as I'll mainly use this planner with my own inserts, for meal planning/tracking. However, I know I'll use the "to-do" inserts, as they are lined, with a little check boxes.
The paper is on the thinner side and the dividers are made of cardstock. These are all black&white, with the little dots and cursive lettering being their main design feature. It's a simple, yet cute design, that'd be easy to decorate, if you're into that :)
Forever New is an Australian based clothing and accessories shop that ships to selected countries. They have several other planners, in different sizes and design, and some are on my wishlist already!
Shipping was incredibly fast to Portugal (shipped the next day and for a very reasonable fee), and although it went through customs, I didn't pay extra taxes. It came in a simple mailer, with a plastic sleeve and cardstock ring guards. The packaging could be better but it arrived in perfect condition, no flaws at all!
Overall, it's a great planner! The gorgeous print is the main reason why I got it but I'm pleased with the quality and design, considering the affordable price ($35AUD or $25USD). I'd say it's very similar, quality wise, to my macaron planner. It'd be perfect for anyone and I recommend it :)
I hope this review was helpful - if you have any questions please leave it in the comments. i'd love to know if you have this planner or if you are considering getting it! I can't wait to set up this pretty!
Thanks for reading!
