Today I want to share my new "faux" pink traveler's notebook. We all know and love the original Midori traveler's notebook, but there are several other versions that are worth trying, if you are not sure you'd like the original (and expensive) one or if you're just on a budget. This is a great way to hold several notebooks in one place.
I have a smaller version and was looking for a new one, to house my larger notebook inserts, that I use mainly for the Listers Gotta List challenge and journaling. After a short search on Aliexpress (it has become one of my favorite shopping places), I came across this listing, and the hot pink cover immediatly caught my attention!
The cover is made out of PU leather (fake leather) and closes with a hot pink elastic. The cover has rounded corners and a glossier "leather" effect on the outside, while the inside looks rougher in texture (yet it's very smooth). The material is quite flimsy and soft but I'm ok with that - plus, allows it to lay flat when open. Inside, there are 3 decent-quality white elastics with knots, to hold the notebooks - not loving the white but I can always change that up later. This looks like it could hold 5 or 6 notebooks - I'm currently using 4.
For $12, I thought I was only getting the cover but it came with 3 notebooks and a pvc insert, with a pouch and 3 credit card slots! It came with ruled, blank and dotted notebooks, with kraft covers and cream colored paper. The seller was generous enough to throw in an original Midori stickers!
I also got more notebooks from this seller (I usually get them from there, for both of my sizes). I got black, kraft, grid cream and grid kraft notebooks, in the 21x11cm size. They fit perfectly and are always great quality!
Another notebook source worth checking is Yozocraft - they have several kraft notebooks for only $1.50 to $3, that I've been using for a while. They are an odd size (9cm x 17.5cm) but will fit a smaller traveler's notebook. I recently got the two above, their covers are beautiful!
Overall, I'm pleased with this cover and I believe it's a great price/quality - I'd recommend it if you are interested in trying this format. I hope this review helps - let me know if you have any questions in the comments! :)
