Hello friends, it's time for another week recap!
This week, and to keep up with previous weeks, I got some new pens that I was eager to try, after watching several calligraphy videos from K Werner Design - absolutely love her youtube channel and blog, it's such a great source for craft projects. I highly recommend that you check her videos, if you are into calligraphy or any paper crafts. She provides invaluable knowledge and resources. I really want to make a blog post about all (or at leat most) of my favorite crafty people!
So, based on her recommendations during this live chat, I got the Wink of Luna Metallic Brush pen in silver, the Tombow Calligraphy pen in black and the Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pen, in blue - I used this pen to write the little note up above and the new blog header :) So far, I can say all these pens are great!
I also got a set of Yasutomo Niji Pearlescent Watercolors. They look cheap (and they were cheap) but they are fabulous for soft metallic painting - love love love them! Can't wait to do some brush lettering and journaling with them.
I've also made these printable planner inserts available (I have mentioned it on the previous blog post). I have created several variations and I'm currently working on A5 sizes and other types of layouts. I've ordered two new A5 planners without inserts, and I'm really looking forward to try this size for all my planning needs. once I get everything set, I'll be sure to share :)
Speaking of watercolors, this week I added some watercolor sticker sheets to my new etsy shop, Hello Petite Paper. I love how this little collection turned out - I used my winsor&newton watercolor set to create random colorful swatches and to paint little illustrations of things I love.
I have a coupon code for 10% off - use LETSBEFRIENDS at checkout. I'll be adding more styles soon. As always, any feedback is welcome :)
Can you believe it's almost the end of July? Feels like I've started the Listers Gotta List challenge just yesterday, and now I have several notebooks getting filled with words and thoughts. Here are some of my most recent ones. On this last image, for the word "egypt", I have used the watercolor pen mentioned earlier - need to practice more with it! As for the rest of the pens, they're are the trusty Uni-ball Signo, Sakura micron, and some of the Pilot Juice pens.
Seeing all the great, talented people online, makes me want to perfect my technique. It has been years since I had calligraphy lessons in college and this challenge woke up the little lettering bug that was asleep.
Lastly, this week at Petite&Co there's a new bracelet, inspired by this fabulous season - a little gold anchor, with a pop of red. I also have a discount for Petite&Co - use code SUMMER for 10% off
Hope you have a great weekend, with lots of sunshine and happiness :)
Thanks for reading,
